At our Gammol school in Abuko Sanchaba, there is a concrete water tower with one water tank. The pump runs on electricity supplied by NAWEC (National Water and Electricity Company). We are adding a second tank to the tower and installing solar panels. This will double the storage capacity and ensure that the water supply is no longer dependent on an unreliable electricity grid. The water pump is also being replaced so that it is suitable for being powered by a solar panel.
