In Mandinaba, we installed a water system with taps on the public road a few years ago. During a previous visit, we noticed that the village itself had installed several water points in private compounds. We requested that these private taps be removed, but the village refused. Water in private compounds is against the agreement: all taps must be available to everyone free of charge.
Therefore, we are dismantling the water system. It is with a heavy heart that we are doing so. We are recovering the water pump and solar panels and will reuse them elsewhere.
